Congratulations on taking the step towards working on your mental well-being. Our Conditions of use are intended to ensure that you and other users of our site have a positive experience. If you decide to use our services, such as by booking an online consultation or creating an account, please carefully read and agree to these Conditions.
1. First, a few definitions
- gevoelszaken: a general partnership with its registered office in Hollandsche Rading, Schepersveld 8, registered with the Utrecht Chamber of Commerce under the number 93066570.
- Account: Your key to gevoelszaken, where you can access all of our Services and follow your own process.
- Services: Our offerings, ranging from personal one-to-one consultations with our professionals to self-study materials, and everything in between. This includes everything we offer through our website to support your mental well-being.
- User: you, or the person using the Services as described above.
- Client: the natural person (you as a User) or the organisation that purchases Services from gevoelszaken for its employees.
- Agreement: the agreement between the Client and gevoelszaken relating to the use of the Services as described above.
- Professionals: The therapists and coaches who are available to support you.
- Website: The location where you will find information about us and our Services, and your starting point for improved well-being.
2. How it works
To get started, you first need to register through our website. Once you’ve completed that step, we will have an Agreement, and you’ll be able to really get started with gevoelszaken.
We like to keep things simple: please bear in mind that the services we offer are intended for your personal development and well-being, not for commercial use. Other than this, we will ask you to consent to an Agreement at certain times, such as when you register in our system. We have tried to keep this as clear as possible.
Once you are ‘in the system’, we will occasionally ask you to complete a questionnaire. The questionnaires are intended to see how you are doing and to check which approach is best for you. They are not mandatory, but they are helpful. The questionnaires are explicitly not intended for use in diagnosis. Our therapists and coaches also do not make medical or psychiatric diagnoses.
We will not promise you the moon, or issue misleading statements or claims about what gevoelszaken can do. If you have any questions or are struggling with something, please let us know. We take all feedback seriously and track everything carefully.

3. About these Conditions of use
When do these Conditions apply? It’s very simple: these Conditions or ground rules apply whenever you use our Services, visit our website, or otherwise engage with us.
Our Conditions are our guiding principle. We have drafted our own ground rules with the intention of ensuring everything runs smoothly. This means that other Conditions you might have (such as purchase conditions or other general conditions) do not apply here.
4. An important note
While gevoelszaken is your partner in mental wellness, it does not replace medical, psychotherapeutic or psychiatric treatment. As a supplement to regular healthcare? Absolutely. As a way to explore matters such as what you want from your life? 100%. But when it comes to serious mental illness, it is important to seek specialised professional help. Naturally, if you have any questions about this, you can contact us by phone or e-mail.
If you are experiencing burdensome thoughts, such as ideas about ending your life, our Services are unfortunately not equipped to help you with this. Our Services and resources are great as a helping hand, especially in difficult times, but in serious cases such as this, specialised professional help really is essential.
Should you experience these sorts of thoughts while using our Services, please do not wait; seek immediate help from a doctor or psychotherapist/psychiatrist, or call a helpline right away. 5. Rules of conduct
Please use our Services as intended and in accordance with the rules, both ours and those enshrined in law. If we see or hear that something is amiss, we may decide to intervene. That may mean blocking access to certain information.
Please make sure no one else can access your Account. If something happens on your Account, we assume that you are responsible. If we notice actionable things, we may decide to report this to the police. Sometimes we may even need to share your information with others who believe they have been harmed by your actions, but we only do so if this is genuinely necessary and the situation requires it.
6. Security and privacy
At gevoelszaken, we do our best to keep everything secure, including your data and our Services. When you use our Services, we use your personal data. We take your privacy seriously. Everything you share with us stays between us. We comply with the GDPR and other privacy laws.
We sometimes work with external partners to provide our services. Your personal data may be processed as a result of this. 7. Intellectual property
Everything you see and use at gevoelszaken, from the text and images on the website to the way our Services work, belongs to us or people we work with. We are happy for you to use it, but that doesn’t mean you can copy or change it.
We give you the right to use our Services as long as our Agreement is in place. However, we give you that right exclusively; you cannot pass it on to anyone else, or make arbitrary changes or tamper with the code. Please respect our creativity. Do not remove any brands or other marks from our work, and leave the confidentiality stamps in place. We are proud of our work and would like to keep it as it is.
8. Costs
Some Services are free of charge, such as part of the Getting Started module, but we charge for others. We are transparent about our costs, so there are no surprises. Consult our List of Fees for more information.
You can make your payments by following the payment instructions on our website. Individual sessions are generally paid for in advance. You will receive a digital invoice relating to this. Amounts are always in euros, VAT-exempt for therapy and exclusive of VAT for coaching. View the List of Fees.
Sessions reimbursed by employers are settled by using a special employer code. As an individual User, you only need to enter that code when booking a session. Your employer, or the Client, pays for the session in arrears by means of a monthly collective invoice.
9. Complaints
At gevoelszaken, we take your feedback or criticism of our Services very seriously. If you have questions, want to report something, or simply want to voice your concerns, you can always contact us. Visit our contact page to find out how to reach us.
If you file a complaint, we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible, usually within a week.
10. Availability
At gevoelszaken, we do our best to help you as quickly as possible. Whether you want to talk to or chat with one of our therapists or coaches, we are ready to help you with your questions about your mental well-being. As a general rule, we respond to e-mails or chat messages within 48 hours, you can schedule an introductory session within a week, you can and book a therapy or coaching session within two weeks.
Please do note that technology has its limits. We do our best to keep everything running smoothly, both in terms of our Services and our website. Despite this, we may sometimes not be 100% available due to technical reasons or necessary maintenance. And sometimes things beyond our control happen that can also take us offline for a while. We would appreciate your understanding if that happens.
11. What is the duration of the Agreement?
Unless otherwise agreed, you enter into an Agreement with gevoelszaken for an indefinite period of time. However, you can decide to cancel the Agreement at any time. Naturally, there will be no hard feelings if you choose to do so. We will ensure that your data is deleted as appropriate, apart from the data we are required by law to keep.
12. Changes to these Conditions
Sometimes it is necessary for us to update or expand our Conditions of use. In that event, we will let you know via e-mail at least 30 days in advance, so that you are aware of this.
If you disagree with the changes, we are open to receiving your feedback. You have until 14 days after our announcement to let us know what you think. We will take your objections into serious consideration. Should we decide to go ahead and make the changes and you disagree, you have the right to terminate the Agreement before the new Conditions take effect. This option does not apply to changes we must make due to legal obligations or minor adjustments that have little impact.
13. Applicable law
Our Agreement is governed by Dutch law.
14. Third parties
In the event that gevoelszaken is acquired, we can transfer our rights and obligations to the new owner so that you can still count on us.
As gevoelszaken, we have the right to transfer to third parties the rights and obligations arising from our Agreement. If we do so, then you automatically consent to that. However, you may not simply transfer your rights and obligations under our Agreement to someone else.
We may also engage other parties to help us perform our Services or certain parts of them, so that we can ensure that you receive the best service.
15. Change of address
It is important that you let us know immediately if any of your data changes, such as your name, address, e-mail address or phone number. This will help to ensure that our cooperation continues to run smoothly.
